In a unique partnership between academic researchers and domestic workers, the National Domestic Workers Alliance surveyed more than 2,000 nannies, housecleaners and caregivers in 14 cities, developing a vivid, empirically grounded picture of what it means to be a domestic worker in 21st century America.
